Our condo was under renovation when Ian hit the island causing widespread damage. We had just retired and were moving to Sanibel as residents. With no place to live in 2024 we found Kevins Coastal Cottage. It had been totally renovated with all the amenities we were looking for to call home. We rented Jan-June and came back for Nov and Dec until our condo was finally ready. Kevin the owner was very responsive if we ever needed anything and it was resolved right away. A delight to deal with. The lanai was a favorite spot to relax and entertain with the pool overlooking the intercostal waterway. A quiet spot but also close to all the restaurants and beaches on the East End and easy to get off island if needed. The bike path was right there for easy access too.

We had a lovely stay at the Coastal Cottage in Sanibel. The home is immaculate, well appointed, and more than we had hoped for. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds; all linens were off high quality. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking things we needed, the pool and lanai were great, the private beach was wonderful, the canal was loaded with manatees, and the living areas were great. All furniture were very comfortable. All the amenities you would ever wish for—just like at home. I highly recommend staying here. We have stayed many places in Sanibel, and this was the best! The quiet end of the island close to the light house; all restaurants mere minutes away. We cannot wait to return!

We’ve enjoyed several stays at the Coastal Cottage on Sanibel. We’ve found it a perfect place to stay. The home has a wonderful Old Florida feel that screams relax and have fun. It’s highly finished with all amenities we need. The pool area and Lanai are a great place to hang out and read a book. The pool is spotless and even though we didn’t have a boat the canal was fun to be on. Lots of activity on the canal from manatees to fishing. We did rent a boat for a couple days and it was fantastic to have it tied up right out front. It’s a quick fun five minute boat ride to bay and gulf. All in all its been a peaceful, relaxing place to stay. We plan to return often availability permitting.

An absolutely beautiful home. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Just a few of the many things we loved about the home was the beautiful artwork, the open concept for hanging out, the large well outfitted kitchen, huge dining table, updated bathrooms, and the great pool with tranquil views of the water way. This house is dialed in! We went to the nearby lighthouse beach early every morning for fantastic shelling walks, and spent the majority of the rest of the day at the owner's private beach which was also very close. The private beach was quiet and had nice afternoon breezes with great swimming. Took some time to explore the nearby island wildlife refuges and estuaries and would recommend looking at some of the tours offered or just going for a stroll or rented kayak. Saw plenty of wildlife and peaceful scenery. Most evenings we retreated to the quiet comforts of the home to cook, swim and hang out. We did go out a couple nights for dinner and all the fresh local food we tried was excellent, including plenty of close options for Happy Hour and live music, Happy Hour at Mudbugs rocks! Would 100% return to this home to stay. Thank you to the owners for providing a comfortable tranquil retreat with unlimited island options to suit your taste. - Mike
